Select Redaction Area from the Annotation toolbar to mark an area of your document for redaction. Drag your mouse to create a translucent rectangle over the area that you want to mark for redaction. The redaction area is a rectangle with translucency. You can see through the rectangle and read the text behind the annotation.

To delete the redacted area, right-click on the translucent rectangle covering the text that you have marked for redaction and select the Delete button. In the Delete Annotation dialog, select Delete.

Using the Redaction Area tool is the quickest way to mark an area for redaction.
