Main Toolbar

The Main Toolbar contains the following tools: printing, copying, e-mailing, saving, and viewing in a new window:

Print...

When you click on Print... the following dialog box displays the default printer and allows you to configure printing options:

Copy To Clipboard

When you click on Copy to Clipboard, the current view is copied to the Windows clipboard. You can paste the image into another application by pasting the content from the clipboard. Color annotations copied to the clipboard will be saved at a reduced bit-depth, which may result in color differences from the original annotation.

To include annotations when copying to the clipboard, you will need to have selected the option to "Include annotations when copying image selection to clipboard" which is located under the Preferences\Annotations\General tab.

E-mail As Attachment...

When you click on E-mail As Attachment, the E-Mail dialog box displays. You can choose specific E-Mail and Annotations options before sending the image via your default e-mail client:

Save...

When you click Save..., the Save Pages dialog box displays. You can choose to save the image as a TIFF, PDF (if the PDF version of Prizm Viewer is installed), or save the image in its original format.

If you choose the option to save as "Source Type" when viewing any file type other than a Prizm Viewer list file, the entire file contents will be saved, and any selections you may have made for the "Current page" or specific "Pages:" are ignored. Those settings only apply to PDF and TIFF save options.

Also, if you are viewing a Prizm Viewer list file, selecting "Current page" and saving as a Source Type will save only the contents of the currently displayed file within the list file. In effect, the files within a list file are treated as "pages". For example, if you select "pages" 2 and 4, you can save the 2nd and 4th files numbered consecutively from the beginning of the list file.

Note that the file name may or may not display with the file extension. If no extension is specified, the file will be saved with the “Save as type” extension. If an extension is specified, the specified extension will be used.

View in New Window

When you click on View in New Window, a new web page displays. You can view and work on images in the new Prizm Viewer window.
