Prizm® Viewer has a limitation when viewing the same annotated image in multiple views:
- If the same image is in multiple views, and the annotations are imported from the image in each view and saved to an annotation server, duplicates of the annotations will be saved.
- If the same image is in multiple views, and the annotations are saved locally, only the annotations from the last image annotated will be saved. The annotations from the other image will be overwritten.
In general, it is recommended that if the same annotated image is presented in two or more views, that the edit annotations functions should be disabled in all but one view, and embedded annotation support should be disabled in all but one view. It is also recommended that scripting be used to reload the annotations automatically in each view that has the annotation support disabled. This scripting should be driven by annotation events in the view with annotated support enabled.
