ImageGear Professional v18.2 > User Guide > Using ImageGear > Operational Concepts > IGTwainCtl and IGIsisCtl |
Interacting with the TWAIN or ISIS device driver and loading the image(s) acquired from that device is the job of IGTwainCtl Control and IGIsisCtl Control. Like IGCoreCtl Control, you'll place one of these into the user interface of your application, and then use it to perform image acquisition processing. Like IGCoreCtl Control, IGTwainCtl Control and IGIsisCtl Control are ActiveX controls, which allow you to use them in the UI designer tool of each development environment. Like IGCoreCtl Control, IGTwainCtl Control and IGIsisCtl Control present no user interface to the application end-user at run-time - they are visible only at design-time. Your application program must associate the IGTwainCtl Control and/or IGIsisCtl Control with the IGCoreCtl Control before using it - this is typically done when your application first starts up.
