ImageGear Professional for Windows ActiveX
Using ImageGear

This chapter describes how to use ImageGear's ActiveX controls and COM objects to fulfill your applications' imaging needs. The scope of ImageGear functionality is outlined in the ImageGear Overview section. There are also many examples that show you how to use ImageGear functionality. Additional examples and recommendations for using ImageGear objects, properties, and methods can be found in the API Function Reference chapter for each respective component as well as in the Getting Started Chapter.

Fundamentally, the way that you use the ActiveX controls is that you place them into your application user interface using the "designer" tool of your development environment. The code in your application then uses the methods and properties of the controls to direct their behavior. You'll often implement event handlers for some of the events (like MouseUp, DragOver, etc.) generated by the controls.
