ImageGear Professional for Windows ActiveX
Vector Images

ImageGear can read most popular formats that contain vector elements. Some of them such as WMF/EMF, TXT and PTOCA are converted to bitmap during file reading. This process is called "rasterization".

Others, such as DXF/DWG, CGM, DGN, HPGL, U3D, are kept as a vector structure consisting of vector primitives such as lines, arcs, ellipses, polygons, text strings, splines, and so on. These primitives are drawn on the drawing surface (screen, printer, and so on) every time the surface is updated. The customer can rasterize such images any time he wants using IGPage Object.Rasterize Method.

It is also possible to save vector structure in CGM format.

See Vector Component API Reference for more information.
