The MaximumThreadCount property specifies the maximum number of threads that will be used to generate thumbnail items in the background, concurrent with the control window being painted. The thumbnail control will use up to this number of threads for generating thumbnail images, depending on how many processors the system has, and how much time is spent processing each thumbnail item.
