ImageGear Professional v18.2 > User Guide > Using ImageGear > Using ImageGear TWAIN Component > Controlling the Scanning in the Application |
On the other hand, if you want your application to completely control the scanning capabilities, then set the UseUI Property to False. Your application will then use the GetCapability Method/SetCapability Method, and the IGTWAINCapArray Object, IGTWAINCapEnumeration Object, IGTWAINCapOneValue Object and IGTWAINCapRange Object to obtain and set all the scanning capabilities for the chosen Data Source.
You have already seen these used in prior sections to set the filename and format for an image acquired using Disk File Transfer mode. However, there are many other capabilities that can be set using these methods, including bit depth and layout. There are restrictions on which capabilities can be used based on the hardware that you are using, the transfer mode setting, and the ImageGear property or method you call. For example, the ability to append an acquired image to a multi-page file is not relevant to the Disk File Transfer mode, which always stores pages to separate files.
