DICOM DataSet

DICOM DataSet is a list of Data Elements of various types. Each Data Element is marked with a 32-bit Tag number, which defines the meaning and usage of the Data Element. Some of the Data Elements can contain nested sets of Data Elements inside. These Data Elements are called "Sequences of Items" (SQ). Due to the SQ Data Elements, the DataSet makes up a tree. In the ImageGear Medical Component, DataSet is represented by the IGMedElemList Object type. It is described in the section Working with the Data Element List.
