Prizm® Viewer provides customization capabilities for Toolbars, Menus, Docking Windows, About Box, Status String, MIME Types, and Scripting.
These customizations can be made using the following means:
- Installation Configuration (Configuration) File
- User Interaction
- Scripting
- List File
When some customizations to these user interfaces are made using the installation customization, or list file, the user will not be allowed to interactively customize the user interface.
You can think of how customizations can be applied as being hierarchical. Users can revise Preferences to override default settings. Scripting can set properties, which override user preferences.
The hierarchy for controlling the user interface from lowest to highest is this:
- Prizm Viewer defaults
- Customized default settings provided in prizmConfiguration.ini file
- User updates to Preference settings
- Updates accomplished through scripting
- Updates included in a list file
