Accusoft PDF Xpress™ version 7 is a powerful control that enables the user to build applications supporting PDF file creation, editing, and viewing using licensed Adobe® technology. PDF Xpress is delivered as both a .NET Software Development Kit (SDK) and an ActiveX SDK. It is used to create PDF documents, modify and reorganize existing PDF documents, access metadata, view and create PDF/A documents, and more.

Functionality
With PDF Xpress you can easily:

PDF Reading Support
- Read all PDF documents, including any version PDF through v1.7.
- Load PDF documents from file or memory.
- Extract text and use PDF Xpress features to return location and context of text search results. (Extract text from Normal or Searchable Image PDFs then identify text matches using any desired technique. PDF Xpress will provide the context and location of the match phrase.)
- Export PDF annotations to XFDF (XML) - This enables PDF Xpress to work with NotateXpress to annotate PDF documents. See samples and demos included in the SDK.
- Access document metadata, bookmarks, and thumbnails.
- Render pages to Bitmap, DIB, EPS, or RAW.
- Specify render options, including portion of page to render, target resolution, and bit depth.
- Render large pages to higher resolution (e.g., for optimized display of large engineering drawings).
- Render copy-protected PDF documents where content copying and extraction is not allowed (commonly produced by legal and financial institutions).

Copy protected rendering functionality must be used only to view copy protected PDF documents. Do not use it to violate or bypass the PDF file security measures that prevent copying or editing.
