Upgrading from PDF Xpress 6 to PDF Xpress 7

This section describes how to upgrade from PDF Xpress 6 to PDF Xpress 7. While generally you'll be able to simply replace PDF Xpress 6 with PDF Xpress 7, there are a few important changes you may need to consider. This section provides information about those changes.

Specific API Changes are described in the PDF Xpress changes.txt file, accessible from the Start menu.

New API

PDF Xpress 7 introduces changes to the PDF Xpress API, as described in this section.

Added the SetRotationOfPage() method to the Document class to set the rotation of a page.
Added the UserSpaceResolution property to the PageInfo object.
Added the GetSecurity(), RemoveSecurity(), and AddSecurity() methods to the Document class.
Added the Security class.
Added the PermissionStatus and EncryptMethod enumerations.
