Applications using auto-redact will be able to:
- Locate and remove sensitive information such as e-mail addresses, credit card numbers, or social security numbers from a raster page, raster document, or Unicode string.
- Tolerate incorrect, missing, or extraneous letters in recognition results.
- Redact areas of the source image corresponding to search matches using a solid rectangle and/or a replacement character.
- Receive event notifications to monitor and influence the quality of each stage of auto-redact.
- Recover both redacted and unredacted text.
- Save redacted pages to other image formats.
- The Recognition auto-redact feature is comprised of two sibling operations: search and redact.
