A caption is text that is placed on a still frame when scanning. TwainPRO™ enables the user to define a caption to be placed on all scanned images. When a caption is applied during scanning, it becomes a part of the scanned image data, and is no longer separable from the image. 

To define a caption, set the TwainDevice.Caption property to specify the text, appearance, and location of the caption. During the scanning session, the caption will be applied to all acquired images.

If no caption is needed, ensure that the Caption property is set to null (the default value) prior to StartSession.  

Caption can only be modified, or set, prior to initiating the scanning session (StartSession).
