This section describes how to upgrade from TwainPRO 8 to TwainPRO 9. While generally you'll be able to replace TwainPRO 8 with TwainPRO 9, there are a few important changes you may need to consider. This section provides information about those changes.

Library Name, GUID, and ProgID

• The library name has changed from AccusoftTwainPro8 to AccusoftTwainPro9.
• The GUID for the TwainPRO ActiveX control has changed in TwainPRO 8 from {8767835D-4AB4-4263-89EB-B3C17726DEF9} to the new value in TwainPRO 9 of {95C2751F-F616-42AF-B55C-A11333622B52}.
• The ProgID has changed from ‘Accusoft.TwainPro.8’ to ‘Accusoft.TwainPro.9’.
