This section describes how to upgrade from TwainPRO 7 to TwainPRO 8. While generally you'll be able to replace TwainPRO 7 with TwainPRO 8, there are a few important changes you may need to consider. This section provides information about those changes.

Library Name, GUID, and ProgID

• The library name has changed from AccusoftTwainPro7 to AccusoftTwainPro8.
• The GUID for the TwainPRO ActiveX control has changed in TwainPRO 7 from {7482FEFA-931C-4a64-8276-9DC307C56844} to the new value in TwainPRO 8 of {8767835D-4AB4-4263-89EB-B3C17726DEF9}.
• The ProgID has changed from ‘Accusoft.TwainPro.7’ to ‘Accusoft.TwainPro.8’ in TwainPRO 8.
