This section describes how to upgrade from ThumbnailXpress 5 to ThumbnailXpress 6. While generally you'll be able to replace ThumbnailXpress 5 with ThumbnailXpress 6, there are a few important changes you may need to consider. This section provides information about those changes.

Library Name, GUID, and ProgID

• The library name has changed from AccusoftThumbnailXpress5 to AccusoftThumbnailXpress6.
• The GUID for the ThumbnailXpress ActiveX control has changed in ThumbnailXpress 5 from {570287AD-F463-43C9-B455-B8010A589DCB} to the new value in ThumbnailXpress 6 of {68BA0286-08E7-4DC1-9B8C-7B92BA2704DB}.
• The ProgID has changed from ‘Accusoft.ThumbnailXpress.5’ to ‘Accusoft.ThumbnailXpress.6’.

New or Modified API

ThumbnailXpress 6 Service Pack 1 introduces the following API modification:

• PDF support is deprecated in ImagXpress, please use PDF Xpress instead for PDF support for thumbnailing via the UsePdfXpressForPDFsOnly property.
