The following graphic depicts a high level view of the SmartZone functionality within the Forms Processing Suite.
The SmartZone component's primary purpose is to perform zonal ICR/OCR recognition on forms within the forms processing suite of products. After character recognition has been performed, the application may transfer the operation instructions, identification and image areas defined to another component for further forms processing or store in memory for later use using the ReadFromStream (ICR: ReadFromStream; OCR: ReadFromStream) and WriteToStream (ICR: WriteToStream; OCR: WriteToStream) methods of SmartZoneICR/SmartZoneOCR.
