Default Mouse Actions allow you to select the preferred mouse functionality to use within Prizm® Viewer. The Zoom Rectangle Tool is the default mouse action. You can only select one option at a time to be the default mouse action. These options can always be turned on and off through the Mouse Toolbar or the Right-Click Context Menu options.
Notes & Tips
- When you select a new mouse action, it will be available the next time you open Prizm Viewer.
- Annotation editing must be enabled to select an annotation function as the default mouse tool. If annotation editing is not enabled, and an annotation function is selected as the default mouse action, the Zoom Rectangle will be used instead.
- To restore the default selection for Mouse Preferences, select the Restore Defaults button.

Available Default Mouse Actions
- Pan Tool - Reposition the image using the mouse.
- Area Selection Tool - Create an area to select.
- Zoom Rectangle Tool - Select a rectangle to zoom in.
- Flying Magnifier Tool - Magnify the area under the mouse while the mouse button is selected.
- SVG Interaction Tool - View relevant information and/or follow embedded links when rolling over or clicking in a hot spot area within an SVG image.
- Select Annotation - Select annotations to do further annotation functionality.
- Rectangle Annotation - Create a rectangular annotation.
- Ellipse Annotation - Create an ellipse annotation.
- Highlight Annotation - Highlight in yellow the area selected.
- Line Annotation - Create a line by selecting a start point and then select an ending point.
- Note Annotation - Create note annotations.
- Stamp Annotation - Create stamp annotations.
- Text Annotation - Create text annotations.
- Polyline Annotation - Create flexible outline area where you select many points and the double-click to close.
- Polygon Annotation - Create polygon area annotations with fill color.
- Freehand Annotation - Create freehand writing, areas and drawing by selecting and dragging.
