PAS Linux Requirements & Supported Environments

PAS is only supported on 64-bit operating systems. PAS requires significant network throughput and disk I/O, but very little processing power.

    Supported Operating Systems

    Linux

We offer two ways to install PrizmDoc Server: via Docker or with a traditional Linux platform.

    Docker

We recommend using our Docker solution over any specific Linux platform to simplify your PrizmDoc Viewer deployment and maintenance.

    Traditional Linux Platform

    We support the following:

    • CentOS 6, 7

NOTE: As of PrizmDoc Viewer v13.14, support for CentOS 6 is deprecated; its End of Lifetime was November 30th, 2020.

    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, 7

NOTE: As of PrizmDoc Viewer v13.16, support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 is deprecated; it transitioned from the Maintenance Phase to the Extended Life Phase on November 30, 2020.

    • Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, 18.04 LTS

NOTE: As of PrizmDoc Viewer v13.16, support for Ubuntu 16.04 is deprecated; its End of Standard Support is April 2021.

    Hardware Requirements

Requirements vary greatly based on usage and it is generally a good idea to find what best fits your expected usage. The Sizing Guide is a good place to start understanding what resources PAS uses and how to optimize them for your needs.
