HD Photo format uses the same non-image data storage format as is used by TIFF. However, HD Photo uses its own set of tags for image-related parameters, such as image width, height and pixel format. It also uses a few descriptive TIFF tags such as Copyright and Artist. HD Photo non-image data may include EXIF, EXIF GPS and IPTC subtrees.
