Overlays

Use MED_overlay_apply() function to load graphic overlays from DICOM DataSet to ART annotations. Use MED_overlay_extract() function to save ART annotations into DICOM DataSet as overlay data.

Waveform Images

ImageGear supports both DICOM raster and vector (waveform) images. ImageGear loads waveform images in vector form. You can use Vector component API to modify waveform images that have been loaded to ImageGear. Use any image loading functions to load DICOM waveform images.

ImageGear reads and displays waveform data (graphs), as well as axes and some annotations.

Currently, ImageGear creates the following annotations for waveform images:

• X axis with second marks, according to SamplingFrequency tag value
• X axis for every image, if it is visible and does not intersect with other images
• Y axis for all images
• Minimum and maximum Y values for each graph
