ImageGear for C and C++ on Windows v19.10 - Updated
IG_REC_decomp_single_column_force_set
API Reference Guide > Recognition Component API Reference > Recognition Component Functions Reference > Zone Support Functions > IG_REC_decomp_single_column_force_set

Specifies the Force Single Column mode for the page-layout (auto-zoning) process.

Declaration:

Copy Code
AT_ERRCOUNT ACCUAPI IG_REC_decomp_single_column_force_set(
   AT_BOOL bForceSingle
);

Arguments:

Name Type Description
bForceSingle AT_BOOL Force Single Column mode to be set (default is FALSE).

Return Value:

Returns the number of ImageGear errors that occurred during this function call.

Supported Raster Image Formats:

This function does not process image pixels.

Example:

Copy Code
AT_ERRCOUNT ErrCount = 0;
ErrCount = IG_REC_decomp_single_column_force_set(TRUE);

Remarks:

It prevents the "de-columnization" (detecting columns and placing their contents one below the other), and is useful for preserving the columnar structure in tables.

It is highly recommended that you use this sparingly: only for cases where the image has a single tabular structure and chances are that the automatic decomposition would fail to analyze the layout properly. Its effects are applied to whole pages.
