The function creates the new attribute specified by nAttrib and returns a pointer to the attribute being created.

Arguments:

Name Type Description
hLayer HIG_VECT_LAYER Handle to the Layer.
nAttrib enumIGVectAttrib Type of the attribute being created.
lpAttribPtr VOID** Buffer that receives a pointer or handle to the attribute. See IG_vect_layer_get_attrib() for a description.

Return Value:

Returns 0 if successful. Otherwise, returns the number of ImageGear errors that occurred during this function call.

Supported Raster Image Formats:

This function does not process image pixels.
