The ImageGear Professional ART component integrates with ImageGear and supports the Wang annotation specification for storing annotations in TIFF. However, this is not a requirement; annotation data may be stored anywhere.

ART works as an overlay to loaded images. ART annotation marks can include vector graphics, text, bitmaps, user-defined marks, and others. There are many built-in features such as automatic handling of object creation, a toolbar that you can customize, attribute dialog boxes for each type of mark, built-in internationalization, among others. To use ImageGear ART functionality you should attach ImageGear ART Component or the ImageGear ArtX Component. See Annotating Images for more information.
