ImageGear .NET v24.5 introduces new features and improvements in the following areas:

PDF

• Added support for viewing native PDF annotations in the HTML5 Viewer.
• Updated the internal PDF Library to fix a number of rendering issues.
• Improved document compression with a property to flatten AcroForm fields.
• Added limited support for PDF documents containing XFA forms. Also, many Annotations, PDF, OCR, and Viewing samples now support opening PDF documents containing XFA forms by default.

CAD

• Added support for rendering CAD in our WPF library.

Samples and Documentation

• Added a new sample, OEMLicensing, that demonstrates how to apply an OEM license using ImageGear .NET API.
• Improved and simplified the ISIS scanning sample, IsisScanningUsingASP.NET. The sample no longer uses the legacy ASP.NET components, so it is easier to understand how to utilize our ISIS web feature.
• Added documentation for auto-language detection with OCR.
• Added a new sample, DisplayUsingWPF, that demonstrates ImageGear .NET’s ability to display documents and images using Windows Presentation Foundation controls.

ImageGear .NET v24.4 introduces new features and improvements in the following areas:

HTML5 Viewer (ImageGear.Web)

• Added annotation support to the HTML5 viewer for the following types:

• Added a Markup Layer Interface to associate multiple annotation files with a single document.

PDF

ImageGear .NET v24.3

ImageGear .NET v24.3 introduces new features and improvements in the following areas:

Comparison API

• Added a new namespace, ImageGear.Comparison, that compares PDF documents for text and image differences.
• The API can detect whether two documents have different text or image content, and can create a PDF document that reports insertions and deletions between the documents.

PDF

• Added a simplified API to extract images from PDFs with ImGearPDFImageFinder.
• Added a new PDF AcroForms sample, ExtractFormFieldData, that demonstrates how to extract form data from a filled PDF document and save it to a text file.
• Added support to flatten form fields by removing its interactive representation and making it static.

OCR

• Improved the MRC sample (ImageOCRtoFile) and renamed it to OCRandMRC.

HTML5 Viewer

• Implemented minor fixes and improvements affecting thumbnail display, zoom events, and resource usage.

ImageGear .NET v24.2 introduces new features and improvements in the following areas:

HTML5 Viewer

• Introduced an HTML5 Viewer as an ASP.NET sample/framework for viewing over 45 file formats (including Office, PDF, PS, CAD, JPEG 2000, RAW, JPG, PNG, Medical (DICOM), etc.) through your web browser.

CAD

• Added support for:
  • creating blank DXG/DXF and
  • writing to DWG/DXF.

PDF AcroForms

ImageGear .NET v24 introduces the following AcroForms improvements:

• Added support for displaying digital signature fields.
• Added support to sort ListBox and ComboBox fields.
• Text fields used for passwords can now be masked to users when entering them into a form.
• Added support for Push Buttons, including appearance customization.
• Added support for text justification to TextFields, ListBoxes, ComboBoxes, and PushButtons.
• Added automatic spacing for text fields (COMB flag) for optimal display.
• Improved API programmatic navigation for objects, specifically between widgets and fields.

Office

In ImageGear .NET v24, we added several improvements to our Microsoft Office support for more stability.

CAD

ImageGear .NET v24 includes the following CAD improvements:

• Upgraded to a more robust, flexible, and easy-to-use API design.
• Improved CAD rendering fidelity, and added powerful export capabilities to other document and image formats.
• Added code samples to demonstrate rendering, content manipulation, and export to other formats.
• Added support for:
  • AutoCad 2018
  • Lighting control
  • Camera control
  • Customized color palette for document background and CAD objects
  • Text extraction for individual layouts
  • Export to PDF and 3D PDF (including custom view and light sources)
  • Export to stacked SVG (multi-layered SVG file that corresponds to the layers in the CAD file)

• Overhauled CAD documentation section:
  • Added a new Getting Started with CAD tutorial.
  • Added code snippets throughout the section.
  • Re-organized content to improve overall usability.
