ImageGear .NET v24.2 introduces new features and improvements in the following areas:

HTML5 Viewer

Introduced an HTML5 Viewer as an ASP.NET sample/framework for viewing over 45 file formats (including Office, PDF, PS, CAD, JPEG 2000, RAW, JPG, PNG, Medical (DICOM), etc.) through your web browser.

CAD

Added support for:
- creating blank DXG/DXF and
- writing to DWG/DXF.

CADEntities (Annotations)

Added the ability to create, manipulate, and save CADEntities (Text, Line, Ruler, and basic shapes) in DWG/DXF files.

CAD DirectX Support

Added the ability to render DWG/DXF and DGN files with Direct3D and
- View in WinForms and WPF applications.
- Rasterize to any raster format supported by ImageGear .NET.

PDF

Added the AddAndVerifyPDFSignatures sample to demonstrate PDF digital signatures.

MRC PDF Compression (Mixed Raster Content)

Added the MRC PDF compression option to create smaller, searchable PDF files from OCR results. See additions to the ImageOCRtoFile sample.

Added OutputManager formats for PDF output.

Documentation

Revised the main User Guide page for ease of navigation and clarity.

PDF AcroForms

ImageGear .NET v24 introduces the following AcroForms improvements:

Added support for displaying digital signature fields.
Added support to sort ListBox and ComboBox fields.
Text fields used for passwords can now be masked to users when entering them into a form.
Added support for Push Buttons, including appearance customization.
Added support for text justification to TextFields, ListBoxes, ComboBoxes, and PushButtons.
Added automatic spacing for text fields (COMB flag) for optimal display.
Improved API programmatic navigation for objects, specifically between widgets and fields.

Office

In ImageGear .NET v24, we added several improvements to our Microsoft Office support for more stability.

CAD

ImageGear .NET v24 includes the following CAD improvements:

Upgraded to a more robust, flexible, and easy-to-use API design.
Improved CAD rendering fidelity, and added powerful export capabilities to other document and image formats.
Added code samples to demonstrate rendering, content manipulation, and export to other formats.
Added support for:
- AutoCad 2018
- Lighting control
- Camera control
- Customized color palette for document background and CAD objects
- Text extraction for individual layouts
- Export to PDF and 3D PDF (including custom view and light sources)
- Export to stacked SVG (multi-layered SVG file that corresponds to the layers in the CAD file)

Overhauled CAD documentation section:
