This topic provides information about the following:

Before installing ImageGear for .NET, make sure that your system complies with the requirements detailed in the System Requirements section.

Installing ImageGear

To install ImageGear, perform the following steps:

  1. Start the installer from the Web:
    1. Click to download. After the download finishes, run the exe.
  2. Click the Next button to continue past the welcome dialog.
  3. Carefully read the information contained in the License Agreement form before making a decision to accept the terms of the agreement. Choose I accept the license agreement to accept the conditions outlined in the License Agreement, and then click the Next button to continue the installation, or click Cancel to exit the installation process.
  4. If you accepted the License Agreement and continued the installation process, the User Information form appears next. Enter your name and the name of your company in the Full Name and Organization text boxes, respectively. Then click Next.
  5. After clicking Next the Destination Directory form is displayed. Choose the destination directory where the ImageGear product should be installed or choose the default installation destination directory. Then click Next.
  6. Once you click the Next button, the product Select Features form is displayed. In this form you can:
    1. Choose the features and namespaces of the selected product to install on your system.
    2. Get information about how much of your hard disk memory is required to install the product features that you have chosen in 6a.
  7. When all these options are chosen, click the Next button to continue the installation process, and then click Finish. 

Directory Structure

If you accept the suggested default location, the installation program creates the following directory structure:

For 32-bit:

Directory Description

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Accusoft\ImageGear.NET v22\Documentation Documentation.
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Accusoft\ImageGear.NET v22\Licensing\Deployment Deployment Utility files.
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Accusoft\ImageGear.NET v22\Licensing\LicenseManager Accusoft License Manager.
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Accusoft\ImageGear.NET v22\Sample Shortcuts Sample source code, executables, and images.
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Accusoft\ImageGear.NET v22\Resources\Utilities Utilities.

For 64-bit:

Uninstalling ImageGear

To uninstall ImageGear for .NET:

  1. From the Control Panel, open Programs and Features.
  2. Choose Accusoft ImageGear for .NET.
  3. Click Change/Remove.
  4. Select Remove and click Next.
