To add ImagXpress to your project:
- Select an ImagXpress component from the toolbox and add to your project. The ImagXpress component manages licensing for the control and is required to enable all ImagXpress functionality. Add one and only one ImagXpress component to the project.

You must have an ImagXpress component in your project to use ImagXpress. The ImagXpress component should be added before any other components in the ImagXpress family are added. |
- Select an ImageXView component from the toolbox and add it to your project. The ImageXView component manages the interface to devices, such as monitors and printers and to other controls, such as NotateXpress™ and ThumbnailXpress™. ImageXView component is required to view, print, or annotate an image. Multiple ImageXView components can be added to the project to facilitate viewing and annotating multiple images, or multiple views of the same image.
- Select a Processor component from the toolbox and add it to your project. The Processor component manages all image processing. Multiple Processor components can be added to the project to facilitate parallel processing, within the constraints of your system.
Add Functionality from other Controls in the ImagXpress Family
- To enable annotation capability, add NotateXpress to your project. One NotateXpress component must be added for each ImageXView component in which annotation is required.
- To enable thumbnail capability, add ThumbnailXpress to your project. One ThumbnailXpress component must be added for each ImageXView component in which thumbnail capability is required.
- To enable TWAIN scanning, add TwainPRO™ to your project.
- To create a custom printer interface, add PrintPRO™ to your project.
