Parameters

type

The type to search for in the collection.

Return Value

This method searches the collection for a DataItem whose Type matches the given type. If it finds a reference to it, it will return its index. If it cannot find a reference to it, this method will return -1. If the object is present more than once in the collection, if or multiple objects in the collection have the same Type, this method will return the lowest index of a match.
