Installing on a Development Machine

To Install ScanFix® Xpress Component

Run the downloaded setup program which installs the development kit on your development machine.

The downloaded development kit includes code samples for supported platforms. Samples are available through:

Start | Programs | Accusoft | ScanFix Xpress menu.

By default this will register trial licensing which allows you to develop applications but not to distribute them. The trial license allows testing of all the functions and features.

Please see the section Distributing ScanFix Xpress to understand the limits and details to convert licensing editions.

In order to distribute your finished application you must purchase and install a fully paid license from Accusoft Corporation. The paid licenses override trial licenses.

To Use ScanFix Xpress Help Files

Once you have installed ScanFix Xpress, you will have access to the following stand-alone help file:

Accusoft.ScanFixXpress8.Net.chm - Access the ScanFix Xpress stand-alone help through the Windows Start menu: Start | Programs | Accusoft | ScanFix Xpress 8.0

In addition, you will have access to the following compiled collection help file:

Accusoft.ScanFixXpress8_Net.cab - MHV (Microsoft Help Viewer). If you have Visual Studio 2010, 2012, or 2013, these MHV files will be registered.
