Despeckle Method
Description
Filters the image using a filter that attempts to eliminate noise in the image.
Syntax
Visual Basic
Public Sub Despeckle()
Remarks

The most typical use of Despeckle is to eliminate noise or small black areas in an image. These areas are typically caused when the image is printed on a fax machine or as noise when the image is scanned.

Median can also be used to eliminate noise in an image, however, Median is a much harsher filter and has a tendency to distort lettering.

Use this method on images with bit depth greater than one. For bitonal (1-bit) images, use DocumentDespeckle.

Note: Available in Professional Edition.
